Car Accident Cumbria – Some Words…
During the winter months the conditions on our roads can often make driving unpredictable and dangerous.
With figures showing a 15% increase in the number of crashes during winter and even a rise of 22% during snowy weeks – more accidents will happen in the winter than any other time of year.
Accidents can arise as a result of wet leaves causing skidding, shattered glass due to grit on roads, drivers losing control in the snow, poor visibility due to fog and flooded roads causing break damage.
The Christmas season will also see a lot more alcohol-related road traffic accidents so it is absolutely crucial that people take extra care if out and about this Christmas.
