Back Injury
Typical Payouts – Back Injury
If you are claiming compensation for an injury to your back, the amount of compensation you receive will depend on the severity of the injury. Cases with a severe injury may result in impotence or incontinence. If the severity of the injury is moderate, you could be left with a permanent disability, such as a fracture of a vertebra, where there is a substantial risk of osteoarthritis and constant pain. We tend to find the majority of moderate back injuries tend to be soft tissue damage to the ligaments or muscle or an exacerbation of an existing injury you may have. Furthermore, some injuries are minor such as, strains and sprains that tend to be at nuisance level only.
As a guideline, the level of compensation will fall within one of the following brackets:-
- Severe – up to £108,000
- Moderate – up to £24750
- Minor – up to £8000
