Compensation awards for head injuries can be split into the following categories:-

Brain Injury

Brain damage injury can result in different symptoms such as emotional, cognitive, behavioural or physical. The level of the award will depend on whether you have been affected by the level of insights, life expectancy and the extent of your physical limitations.

As a guideline, the level of compensation will fall within one of the following brackets:-

  • Very Severe Brain Damage – up to £257,750
  • Moderately Severe Brain Injury – up to £180,000
  • Moderate Brain Damage – up to £140,000
  • Minor Brain Damage – up to £27,500
  • Minor Head Injury

    A minor head injury would be minimal and the level of the award would depend on the severity of the initial injury, the period taken to recover, the extent of any ongoing symptoms and any presence of headaches.

    Compensation for this injury would fall within the following bracket:- up to £8,100.
