Nicola Klimkowski Joined Duncan Gibbins Personal Injury practice as their Business Development Manager in January 2010.

Nicola studied at The Liverpool University and then went on to Chester Law School to complete her Legal Practice Course. She then qualified at a law firm in the North West. At this time she decided to set up her own accident claims management company, as the accident compensation firm she worked for at the time incentivised employees who could generate work.  She realised at that time that she enjoyed being commercially aware of the injury compensation claim market.

An opportunity came along that was too good to miss whereby Nicola was asked to move to Gibraltar on secondment to manage the After The Event Insurance business for a Gibraltarian based insurance company. She utilised her legal knowledge to underwrite a variety of personal injury claims that varied in amounts of compensation claims and claim types. She was also a part of the management team, audit team and claims handling team.

After living on the rock of Gibraltar for a few years, Nicola wanted to return to England, as she missed her friends and family.

She decided to continue in the area of After The Event Insurance, for an alternative provider, but felt that given the proposed future changes within the insurance industry, that she would be best placed to return to practice.

Over the past few years, Nicola has worked in almost every industry related role. These various roles has provided Nicola with quite a unique skill set, that she can use at Duncan Gibbins Solicitors to develop their future business strategy and future growth in the accident compensation market. Nicola is over the moon to have joined the law firm that prides itself in customer service, supports the staff and that has established relationships with providers of work.

Nicola has also met a lot of people along the way and her message is quite clear, treat people how you want to be treated in both your personal and professional life, always be honest and not greedy. This philosophy has worked well for Nicola over the years and hopefully in years to come!
