I joined Duncan Gibbins in 2010 after previously working as a legal assistant with a personal injury firm in St Helens.
My first role at Duncan Gibbins was as a member of the first response team where I dealt with new claims, after this I moved on to drafting court documents for a wide variety of files. I am due to start my training contract in August where I will begin assisting solicitors on a number of different files.
My Career Highlight
My career highlight to date was getting my job at Duncan Gibbins Solicitors as it is has a great reputation, and the law industry is such a competitive market for LPC graduates to break into.
Best Part of the Job
The best part of the job is the amount of hands-on experience you can get on a wide variety of files at an early stage. There is also a lot of room for progression within the firm which is a great motivator.
Hobbies and Interests
Socialising with friends, going to concerts and festivals, taking part in exercise classes and visiting my friends and family in Ireland.
Alternative Career
If I had to have an alternative career to law I would love to be involved in the fashion industry, or the travel industry, as I love visiting new countries and trying the local cuisine.
